The ACBGroup's First ten years: a professional network for innovation

The professional network ACBGroup celebrates 10 years. The ACBGroup was founded in Italy in 2000 by Professors Luigi Guatri and Victor Uckmar, along with a group of Italian accountants/fiscal consultants, attorneys and academics.

Ten years ago, ACBGroup, introduced a “business aggregation” model into the professional field, which is now widely recognized as the mode of organization that is required for small and medium entities to maintain sufficient competitive advantage on the international market.

At the November 29 event held at Bocconi University, founding President Prof. Luigi Guatri and current President Prof. Victor Uckmar presented the scope, direction and future plans of the ACBGroup project; while representatives from the fields of business, academia and professionals, today working in the area of business combinations, participated in a round table discussion regarding the ACBGroup project.

With widespread presence throughout the Italian territory as well as international connections capable of providing a global consulting service, ACBGroup now counts over 800 professionals from more than 60 member firms, that offer their experience on the market as well as their specialized expertise.

As stated by Prof. Luigi Guatri, Vice President of Bocconi University and honorary President of the ACBGroup, “we define ACBGroup as the first integrated model for professional services, capable of assisting business growth through its primary areas of activity: business economics, company, domestic and international tax and corporate finance. And over the past 10 years many companies have utilized our system”.

To celebrate the first ten years of the ACBGroup and to thank all of the companies with which ACBGroup has worked over this past decade, a conference was organized at Bocconi University on Monday, November 29, 2010, in the presence of, among others, Victor Uckmar, Professor Emeritus of Tax Law at the University of Genoa, Giuseppe De Rita, president of the Fondazione Cenis and Mario Alberto Galeotti Flori, Professor of Tax Law at the University of Florence.
